We've noticed the signs out for barbecue and blues on weekends. Its been known as a sketchy place in the past, and I haven't been in years. I heard its under new ownership and has cleaned up pretty well. We stopped in for a beer and to check out the food menu. Pretty standard beers on tap, reasonable prices for microbrews. Menu is small (no fried foods) but fairly cheap. Standard sandwiches, nachos, pizza. We decided to split a Beef Brisket sandwich. $7 for a sandwich and and extra $1 for "fresh baked chips". Didn't take long for the food to come out. Brisket was pretty good. Quite a bit of fat on it which I don't mind. Wasn't melt in your mouth, but not tough either. Had just a hint of smoke to it. I prefer mine a little smokier, but this wasn't bad. The sauce I believe was homemade and had the right amount of sweet for my taste. Bread was pretty standard bun. Coleslaw was actually pretty good. The chips were Lay's. I don't know if they meant they threw them in the oven to warm up when they said freshly baked LOL but they weren't really worth the extra $1. I wish they had fries or onion rings! All in all I was impressed. I think we will check out the weekend Blues special they have going on.

Great food. Great drinks. Great pool tables and shuffle board. Friendly service and great bands on fridays.

Stopped for a cold beer on Saturday June 16th, 2012. This was our first visit there. The beer was cold and a table shuffleboard tournament was happening. Lots of friendly but serious play on the tables, great to watch! My wife and I had a couple of beers and then the covered pool table nearby was filled with free food for the 30+ shuffleboard players. There were hamburgers, skewered chicken and veggies, hot dogs, great baked beans, potato salad, veggies and dip, deserts by the plateful, and much more! Dee, the owner, was responsible for putting on the free food along with other regulars. Help yourself she told us and so we did and enjoyed a great afternoon at the Red Dog Saloon. Stop by there soon. I am sure you will enjoy the Red Dog Saloon as much as we did! Maybe see you there as we will be back sometime soon when we next visit the area as we live in Vancouver, BC, Canada!

Went for pinball, no machine. Stayed for the Freak'n Fantastic 1/2 pizza with Ckn,Mush,GrnOnion,Sauce&Cheese and the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Holy Gravy Mavy it was damn good food. Sat at bar with locals watching Huskies beat Iowa. Cannot wait to be in town again. Thx

Have been here only twice, and stayed not very long, many locals enjoy a fine cold draft or a game of pool; bar is a bit small and not very friendly to new comers.
